‘You will acknowledge me And love me because I am Dionysos. I am the Scream.’ Ritual madness has descended upon Thebes. This retelling of Euripides's The Bacchae is a radical examination of liberation and oppression. The cracks in our moral code are exposed as civilisation wars with instnict, the threat of control against the possibility of excess. Recentering on the choral and the visceral physical, our fundamental values are broken down in this horrifyingly compelling examination of society and the self. “A glorious exploration of sexuality, liberty, and divinity.” 5* The Cambridge Tab
