Fresh from a successful run in Melbourne, Australia, and off the back of London's So & So ON Festival (in association with Fringe Italia) November 2014, ‘STAND BY YOUR MAN: True Crime Cabaret’ presents chilling, thrilling accounts of real women whose lives have to be seen to be believed. In this self-devised one-woman show, Jenni Douglas - originally from Melbourne, now based in London - brings to life a collection of shocking but true tales of women who fell in love with serial killers. Using the women's own words, Jenni weaves these dark and tragic love stories in with beautiful new arrangements of favourite love songs in a manner that guarantees you'll never listen to them the same way again. Or look at your significant other the same way again… Think this sort of thing only happens to 'other people'? True Crime Cabaret hits close to home while cutting close to the bone. Real women, real stories. Betrayal...secrets...lies...and, of course...MURDER. Did they know? Did they care? Just how blind is love? Should you, would you, STAND BY YOUR MAN?
