Welcome to Paradise
The heart and soul of the largest theatre festival in the world
With the first change in our spaces line-up for 9 years, 2007 promises to be an interesting year at Paradise Green Promotions’ venues.
Proposed redevelopment works have meant that Greyfriars Kirk House - with which we have been associated since 1995 - is unavailable as a Fringe Venue this year, and for a few more to come. However we have responded to the gap this leaves in our offering for The Fringe by creating a brand new venue, The Vault, which we believe will prove a worthy successor to the Kirk House traditions.
Upholding the original spirit of the Fringe Augustine’s on George IV Bridge and The Vault on Merchant Street are based in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, just minutes away from the Royal Mile. We’re also a non-profit making organisation, so you’ll know that coming to one of our shows means just what it should - supporting great art.
Our team is made up of volunteers united by a shared love of theatre and the performing arts. By working together to support our companies and audiences Augustine’s and The Vault are two of the most welcoming and professional venues on the Fringe.
In spite of having only three performance spaces this year instead of our previous four, we have filled them to bursting with no fewer than 53 different shows. The resulting programme is a rich mix of musicals, dance, drama, opera, performance poetry, puppetry and more. Our shows range from world premieres through to well loved classics, with outstanding companies performing for you from around the globe.
Unwind in our cafés, share a coffee with performers and fellow Fringe-goers, take a deep breath and dive right in.
