Our two venues are located in Edinburgh's Old Town - just around the corner from the Royal Mile and the Fringe Office. Owing to Edinburgh's peculiar geography they sit one above the other, but with entrances separated by a few hundred yards.

Augustine's is a church during the rest of the year and is converted for the festival period. It houses our largest spaces and has a higher technical specification. These spaces tend to be programmed with more established groups and/or works.

The Vault has a purpose built small-scale theatre space as the main performance area, and a second space that is converted anew each year.

This venue tends to cater for smaller scale and more experimental productions

However our programming policy is flexible and we will attempt to programme according to the needs of the show and group, not hard and fast rules.
