On Augustine's lower level, The Studio seats around 105, although a 72 seat configuration is also possible. Seats are arranged on permanent rake built into the room. There are good size rooms on either side of stage providing wings, but there is no cross over at the back of the stage (the stage left room has another door, so can be used for exit to the dressing room, but the stage right room has no other exit). As can be seen on the photos and plan the stage is partially divided by a buttress wall. Note also the central pillars shown. Companies performing with us in the past have told us that this space has good acoustics.

The room has built-in bars for the lighting grid which leaves the floor clear of clutter. There is a full lighting rig, including a 5 area general cover and two colour washes. The colour of these can be changed on a per-show basis. A number of specials are available to provide down light, side light and profiles from the front of house. There is some space to add other lanterns but this is limited. A comprehensive sound system is also provided.
