Paradise Green Promotions is a non-profit making organisation (a company limited by guarantee) founded in 1997 specifically to run venues at the Edinburgh Fringe. These days the company is known simply as "Paradise Green", or PGP.

We ran Greyfriars Kirk House from 1995 to 2006 (at which point the building stopped running as a Fringe venue due to redevelopment work). Paradise Green Promotions was established in early 1997 to provide a formal framework for the continued success of Greyfriars Kirk House and allow for expansion to other venues. Augustine's was added in 1998, and has become a lively, popular and successful venue with a reputation for award-winning theatre and musicals.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2007 by adding a new single space theatre The Vault. This is intended to lead to a permanent venture billed as the “smallest purpose built theatre” in Edinburgh and eventually available to host any event at any time of the year. This will be managed by a dedicated body outside of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Since 2008 we have offered a second space, The Annexe, just across the passageway from the Vault. It is a similar size to the Vault proper, and shares the Vault's box office, snack bar and toilets. This is a more typical Fringe venue, constructed anew each year.

Our staff and management team come from a range of backgrounds. They are united by a shared love of theatre and the performing arts, and offer a wealth of experience and expertise in every aspect of small-scale professional and non-professional theatre. Many of the team have full- or part-time jobs in the creative industries.
